Circe – Experimental Platform for Dance and Theatre presents Andro Dadianis' performance:
I’m
Who am I, if I never endlessly immerse myself in my body, I cannot calm down and change anything around me? Who am I, who has the peace in front of me but I cant reach it? Who am I, so incapable, and who (what) is ” It ” which can unite us? One of the most polluted air in the world is in Tbilisi. More and more people are becoming ill. There are more dead rather than a living creatures here. Economic-political stagnation in the country has become an irreversible process. To rid himself of these environmental disasters, of loneliness, of hopelessness, of failure in public or private spaces, one begins to separate himself from the environment, to ask questions, to try to get out of his own limited context. When one cannot continue the phrase – ”I am”, when one’s being is wrapped in a tranquil breeze, one loses his shadow and strives to live in harmony with the material as he no longer experiences matter. Performance is a woman’s reflection on the politically, environmentally, mentally polluted environment that led her to change her genetic code.
Project is supported by Tbilisi City Hall, Women’s Fund in Georgia, Shota Rustaveli Film and Theatre University
