Circe – Experimental Platform for Dance and Theatre announces an open call for professional and amateur performers and artists to participate in the online workshop series
The rectangle is the space
“Our latest piece was made for a puppet theatre. A rectangular space where the sight-lines of the audience are very controlled. Much like the computer screen.
in our workshop we would like to work on the display as a space and as a stage.
After a meet-and-greet and a warm-up together, we would like to introduce some principles of our work.
Before the breaks, we will set a challenge or task to all the participants; a short work o! around two minutes for the screen.
After breaks, we will discuss concepts, try-outs and ideas for the pieces.
The next phase would be to explore the possibilities and to develop the initial “try-outs” into something more concrete. Giving time for the participants to develop their ideas in their own individual ways using what tools or knowledge they have and feel able to use. We would like to meet again one or two days and then share and discuss the works” Dom & Luk
